Responsibilities
- Own CPU/GPU and platform data analytics and debug multiple domains within server architecture, including SoC firmware, BIOS, and BMC.
- Debug integrated firmware and system software to distinguish hardware problems from software problems based on product architecture.
- Collaborate with system and firmware architects to translate debug requirements into AI skills, frameworks, and utilities.
- Develop debugging and troubleshooting capabilities for fleet-level issues and serve as a point of contact for fleet debug.
- Work with architecture, firmware, program management, and component development teams on daily operations and long-term roadmap improvements.
- Improve debugging methodologies, problem segregation, and remediation flows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 6 years of professional experience in CPU/GPU or system-level development and debugging in embedded systems.
- At least 4 years of programming in Linux or Windows using C or C++.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with platform initialization, UEFI/U-Boot, low-level peripheral drivers, PCIe, I2C, eMMC, SPI, USB, UARTs, memory management, scheduling, interrupts, and multithreading.
- Preferred qualifications include system-level software design and debugging, server platform telemetry analytics, debug-flow creation, CI/CD pipelines, firmware development across FPGA, emulation, and simulation environments, production issue triage, and hardware/firmware interface debugging.
