Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable software-defined storage components with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and enterprise infrastructure integration.
- Drive technical design discussions, evaluate tradeoffs, build prototypes, and deliver product features from concept through release.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve solution scalability, stability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, architects, QA, product management, support, and field teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Plan and execute product releases, including feature development, defect resolution, and release readiness activities.
- Contribute to and validate product documentation for technical accuracy and usability.
- Manage assigned projects by breaking down work, tracking dependencies, communicating risks, and driving tasks to completion.
- Report project progress, technical activity, risks, and accomplishments to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience with file systems, concurrency, multithreading, server architectures, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on software development experience with scale-out and high-availability storage solutions.
- Experience developing and debugging system-level C/C++ software in Linux/UNIX environments.
- Hadoop product development experience is highly preferred.
