Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate the SOS AI platform’s orchestration, tracking, messaging, and application services on premises.
- Build versioned and reproducible experiment workflows with context, dependencies, execution tracking, and replay capabilities.
- Implement asset registries and end-to-end lineage for models, datasets, results, inputs, parameters, and workflow versions.
- Package and deploy the platform as a self-contained system for reliable operation in customer environments without external-service dependencies.
- Integrate the platform with engineering and EDA workflows.
- Own backend platform reliability, performance, observability, scaling, upgrade paths, and operational tooling.
- Establish access control, audit trails, and reproducibility guarantees for IP-sensitive engineering data.
- Collaborate with ML engineers, product teams, and customers to develop durable platform capabilities.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years building and operating AI or data platforms in production.
- Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration, particularly Prefect or comparable orchestrators such as Airflow or Dagster.
- Strong Docker and Kubernetes containerization and orchestration experience for distributed backend services.
- Strong Python backend engineering skills, including API design, PostgreSQL, and service architecture.
- Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow and messaging or eventing systems such as NATS or Kafka.
- Experience delivering on-premises or air-gapped systems with a focus on reliability and operability.
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and job schedulers is valued.
- Experience in semiconductor, EDA, or other engineering domains is a plus.
