Responsibilities
- Drive performance improvements in scientific computing tools using HPC techniques across CPU and GPU architectures in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Profile, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks across algorithm design, software implementation, and hardware-level optimization.
- Build and scale distributed simulation pipelines for increasingly complex quantum system models.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in scientific computing, applied mathematics, or computer science.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and performance-optimizing production-grade scientific software, including at least 2 years in an industrial environment.
- Strong programming expertise in Python, JAX, and Rust.
- HPC expertise spanning CPU parallelization with MPI and OpenMP, GPU computing, heterogeneous workload scheduling and orchestration, and performance profiling and optimization.
- Good knowledge of finite-precision arithmetic and numerical methods for linear algebra.
- Professional-level written and spoken English proficiency.
- Preferred qualifications include a strong delivery mindset, teamwork, communication and documentation skills, and hands-on experience in agentic AI environments.
