Responsibilities
- Lead system and software architecture discussions and produce architecture artifacts for software-hardware modules.
- Implement performant, maintainable C++ and Python components and services on Linux.
- Define interfaces and contracts and contribute to code reviews, refactoring, debugging, and profiling.
- Collaborate with DevOps on build systems, CI/CD, artifact management, observability, and reliability.
- Design for resilience and rollback and strengthen unit, integration, and system testing strategies.
- Work with engineering counterparts across Germany, India, and other cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Use AI-assisted developer tools for documentation, code scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, and troubleshooting while verifying outputs responsibly.
Requirements
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- Typically 14–18 years of experience in relevant roles; exceptional candidates outside this range may be considered with demonstrated system-design depth.
- Proficiency in modern C++ and Python on Linux.
- Experience designing and integrating systems across software and hardware platforms, including sensors, motion and controls, device drivers, or embedded and real-time interactions.
- Familiarity with CMake or Make and GCC or Clang toolchains.
- Strong Linux debugging and profiling skills.
- Exposure to unit and integration testing, static analysis, formatting, and linting practices.
- Clear communication and effective cross-functional and cross-geographic collaboration.
- Semiconductor industry experience is advantageous.
- Experience with Qt for GUI or controls is advantageous.
- Exposure to real-time or embedded operating systems and multiprocessor systems is advantageous.
