Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify acquisition and investment opportunities aligned with Datadog’s strategic priorities through engagement with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists
- Partner with Product teams to assess expansion opportunities and build consensus
- Lead pre-transaction technical due diligence from product and architecture perspectives
- Evaluate technical architecture, risks, open questions, product quality, and depth
- Create or locate test loads and establish trial, proof-of-concept, and sandbox environments
- Provide technical findings, opinions, valuation and integration expertise, and strategic recommendations to leadership
- Represent Product and Engineering in initial product discussions and assess potential product fit
- Develop post-acquisition integration paths and help carry integrations through
- Serve as the primary contact for startups and Datadog Product, Engineering, and Security teams on integration, value, and architecture matters
Requirements
- Experience in product development, solution architecture, or engineering
- BS, MS, or PhD in a STEM field, or equivalent experience
- Broad knowledge of cloud technologies relevant to infrastructure, APM, security, analytics, and AI/ML
- Ability to prioritize testing goals according to value and risk
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects with limited resources
- Strong communication, creative thinking, and analytical skills
- Ability to synthesize feedback, facts, and comparisons across similar applications
- Ability to build and maintain relationships that facilitate deal flow
