Base Salary
$195k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Architect and build infrastructure for experimentation and AI-powered healthcare experiences.
- Partner with Machine Learning engineers to integrate intelligent decisioning into workflows.
- Design and implement reliable and maintainable distributed systems.
- Drive platform investments in tooling, testing infrastructure, and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish reusable patterns and best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Lead complex technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership through design reviews.
- Influence the long-term technical direction of the MedMatch platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in backend engineering and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading large technical initiatives.
- Experience with data-intensive applications leveraging machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python and modern software development practices.
- Experience integrating ML models and recommendation engines into production.
- Familiarity with ML lifecycle concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure tooling is a plus.
- Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term scalability.
