
Senior Software Engineer – Policy as Code

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate REST APIs, webhook receivers, and API clients connecting GitHub and Azure DevOps to policy evaluation and evidence storage.
- Own integration contracts including payload shapes, authentication flows, idempotency, retries, timeouts, and failure semantics.
- Develop and maintain Policy-as-Code services that ingest evidence, evaluate compliance policies, and return allow/deny decisions for sensitive release and deployment actions.
- Build clean, modular, tested, and maintainable services using pull-request workflows, automated testing, REST APIs, event-driven design, and serverless design.
- Incorporate operational, security, audit, risk, and compliance requirements into system design.
Requirements
- Strong experience with C# on .NET 10, including Azure Functions isolated worker v4, Clean Architecture, and TDD.
- Solid experience with Azure.
- Good understanding of the modern software development lifecycle and strong integration engineering experience.
- Ability to build clean, tested, and maintainable services.
- Familiarity with Python is beneficial because parts of the Policy-as-Code infrastructure are Python-based.
- Knowledge of Continuous Compliance Frameworks is a plus but not essential.
