Responsibilities
- Design, build, optimize, and maintain reusable RPA bots and automated workflows using UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Microsoft Power Automate.
- Conduct process discovery and documentation, identify automation candidates, and evaluate feasibility and ROI.
- Integrate automations with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Office/365, web-based systems, APIs, enterprise data sources, screen scraping, and OCR/document understanding tools.
- Implement unit and regression testing, version control, CI/CD for automation packages, environment promotion, exception handling, scheduling, orchestration, and post-deployment support.
- Manage bot scheduling, queue management, credential and access management, audit logging, change control, monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with business, IT, engineering, product, and Supply Chain stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, production-ready automation solutions.
- Drive automation engineering standards, documentation, governance, and operational excellence, and potentially mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with relevant industry experience and 2+ years of experience.
- At least 4 years of proficiency in one or more of UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Microsoft Power Automate, with hands-on production bot development, testing, and deployment.
- Proficiency in Python, VBScript, Shell script, and SQL for custom automation logic, data extraction, and enterprise integration.
- Experience with process mapping, PDD/SDD documentation, process assessment, automation feasibility, and ROI evaluation.
- Experience with automation lifecycle management, version control, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, environment promotion, and change management.
- Experience with RPA orchestrators or control rooms for scheduling, queue management, exception handling, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with OCR, document understanding, chatbots, machine learning models in RPA workflows, ERP systems, workflow/BPM tools, ticketing systems, data governance, security, access management, and enterprise IT compliance is beneficial.
- Experience leading RPA initiatives, mentoring junior developers, establishing development standards, or delivering enterprise automation programs is beneficial; RPA certification such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere certification is a plus.
