Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver mobile solutions.
- Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable code following Android best practices.
- Integrate APIs, third-party SDKs, and cloud services.
- Optimize application performance, security, and user experience.
- Implement unit and UI testing and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and rapid prototyping techniques to improve productivity while maintaining production quality.
- Stay current with Android technologies, AI-powered development tools, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of Android application development experience; the posting also states a range of 5–9 years.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Expertise with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
- Experience with Android Jetpack components, Retrofit, OkHttp, JSON, Room Database, WorkManager, Navigation Component, and Hilt or Dagger.
- Experience delivering production-grade Android applications.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience using AI-powered coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar tools.
- Ability to evaluate, refine, and productionize AI-generated code while ensuring maintainability and security.
- Preferred experience with Jetpack Compose, Firebase services, modular and multi-module Android architecture, JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso.
- Preferred knowledge of AI-assisted software development best practices and prompt engineering techniques.
