Responsibilities

  • Own technical deliveries for Flight Management System programs, including concepts, architecture, detailed designs, specifications, prototypes, and tests.
  • Manage program deliverables covering schedule, cost, scope, quality, customer expectations, and resource utilization.
  • Drive program roadmaps, improvement projects, software excellence initiatives, NPD/RDE transformation, and product-line reuse strategies.
  • Identify technical risks, develop mitigation actions, and ensure designs meet architecture, customer, and human factors requirements.
  • Guide teams in developing engineering solutions, conducting trade studies and competitor/IP analyses, and creating high-fidelity prototypes and innovation opportunities.
  • Interface with customers, OEMs, program leaders, functional leads, and global stakeholders to understand needs and deliver milestones.
  • Mentor and coach team members while supporting collaboration across global sites and functions.

Requirements

  • B.E., B.Tech, M.E., or M.Tech in Engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years of avionics design, product development, and software integration experience, including Flight Management Systems product-line experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing software and system-level requirements, systems tests, test automation, and test execution.
  • Expertise in Flight Management System product architecture, flight path management, cockpit systems, and avionics systems design.
  • Experience with aerospace standards and architecture principles, including DO178B/C and ARP4754.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and collaboration tools including CC, CQ, DOORS, Bitbucket, and JIRA.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and robust design practices applied in NPI and technology projects.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with planning, multitasking, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and independent execution.
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, mentoring, coaching, stakeholder management, and global-team leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel based on business needs.
