Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build and support Java-based microservice and distributed systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets, create visualizations and reports, and use identified patterns to improve code quality and system architecture.
- Contribute to secure, stable, scalable, and operationally reliable technology products.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Professional software development experience with strong Java and microservice architecture experience.
- Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and distributed, service-oriented systems.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, and operational stability.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and PostgreSQL.
- Preferred experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, Amazon SQS, API gateway technologies, Terraform, CloudFormation, observability tooling, mentoring, or engineering communities.
