Base Salary
$120k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Derive and develop autonomy requirements, perform analyses and trades, and maintain subsystem specifications and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with GN&C and spacecraft systems engineers to develop low- and high-fidelity plant models.
- Build control code in Simulink to support autocoding to target.
- Develop and execute simulations and verification tools for autonomy functionalities.
- Use MATLAB and Simulink to analyze, unit test, and verify control and autonomy algorithms.
- Support subsystem verification and testing to ensure compliance with requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Applied industry experience and/or an M.S. or Ph.D. focused on spacecraft autonomy and controls.
- Experience with modeling and simulation of autonomy and controls operations.
- Familiarity with flight management, guidance, control, navigation, and astrodynamics fundamentals.
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
- Preferred M.S. or Ph.D. in aerospace engineering or a related technical field.
- Preferred experience with real-time embedded control solutions, spacecraft GN&C or autonomy lifecycle development, complex aerospace control systems, state-machine design and simulation, Stateflow, C/C++, Confluence, JIRA, and DO-178, DO-160, DO-254, or similar guidelines.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
