Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications and data pipelines.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes that ingest data from APIs, databases, files, and other sources.
- Design schemas and work with large-scale SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and technical specifications.
- Write maintainable code, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle and architectural decision-making.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and contribute to engineering process and tooling improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Java.
- Proficiency with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate or similar technologies.
- Experience with scalable enterprise applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, SQL and NoSQL databases, and messaging queue concepts.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams and delivering software projects.
- Working knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Docker or Kubernetes; CI/CD tools and practices; and test-driven development or automated testing frameworks.
