Base Salary

$183k - $340k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture, system design, and AI strategy for Cloud Audit Suite and integrations with Confirmation and CoCounsel Audit.
  • Lead cross-product integrations using MCP servers, shared APIs, tools, and agent-to-agent integrations.
  • Design and build AI-first backend services and orchestration for agents, workflows, tool calling, guardrails, error handling, and third-party LLMs.
  • Design for high-throughput and low-latency AI workloads, including caching, queuing, rate limiting, model failover, and cost/performance tradeoffs.
  • Lead multi-quarter initiatives across engineering, product, AI Labs, UX, infrastructure, and operations teams.
  • Mentor staff and senior engineers and raise standards for architecture, code quality, testing, rollout, support, and AI-native engineering.
  • Establish and refine SLOs, observability, reliability, compliance, performance, and incident response for AI systems.
  • Work with large-scale document data, retrieval and search, vector stores, and indexing strategies for tax, accounting, and audit workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8–10+ years of full-stack application development experience, including hands-on architecture and design leadership for large-scale systems.
  • Expertise in C# and .NET, with production experience using ASP.NET Core or similar frameworks, relational databases, and a major cloud provider.
  • Experience using Python in AI/ML system development, including model integration, data pipelines, or API-based orchestration.
  • Experience with actor model patterns and frameworks such as Orleans or Akka.
  • Experience architecting accessible front-end solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Experience with AI systems, LLMs, agents, retrieval, guardrails, and AI-native engineering practices.
  • Strong background in distributed systems, cross-system integration, data modeling, API contracts, observability, resilience, and performance tuning.
  • Proven ownership of complex projects from architecture and execution through rollout, support, and maintenance.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
  • Preferred experience integrating OpenAI or Anthropic LLM APIs into production applications, including prompt and response management, cost controls, and safety considerations.
  • Preferred experience with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, custom retrieval pipelines, automated testing, reliability, and release practices for nondeterministic models.
  • Customer interaction experience and experience in domains where correctness, auditability, and compliance matter are preferred.
