Responsibilities
- Lead the development of test automation frameworks focusing on reliability, maintainability, and speed.
- Create reusable test libraries and components for different product areas.
- Implement performance testing and monitoring solutions.
- Develop custom reporting and analytics tools for test coverage and quality metrics.
- Drive adoption of newer testing technologies and approaches.
- Provide technical mentorship to QA engineers on automation best practices.
- Optimize test execution pipelines for faster feedback in CI/CD environments.
- Implement solutions for test data management and synthetic data generation.
- Partner with development teams to implement shift-left testing practices.
- Lead root cause analysis for critical issues and drive systematic improvements.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and quality considerations.
Requirements
- 6-9 years of software testing experience with a strong focus on automation.
- Expert-level programming skills in Python or Java.
- Deep understanding of testing framework architecture.
- Strong experience with modern testing tools and API testing frameworks.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with Containers.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
- Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
- Proven track record of building tools and frameworks used by engineering teams.
- Understanding of testing patterns and anti-patterns in automation.
