Lead Agentic Data Systems Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Build, maintain, enhance, and own production-grade data products end to end.
- Architect and maintain an ecosystem of 10+ autonomous agents for ETL, synthetic data generation, automated QA, predictive modeling, and analytical workflows.
- Design multi-step reasoning architectures, verification protocols, self-correction loops, and peer-review processes for agent outputs.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into production-ready data products independently.
- Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol servers that provide secure access to Snowflake, Salesforce, AWS, and internal data catalogs.
- Implement governance as code for data pipelines and agentic development, including context-aware agent development.
- Review agent-generated SQL, models, simulations, and recommendations for logic errors, hallucinations, security vulnerabilities, and operational risks.
- Use domain knowledge to validate assumptions, interpret uncertainty, and communicate findings and action plans to business and executive stakeholders.
- Build defensive systems and red-team agents to test the integrity and security of other agents.
- Operate and improve data pipelines, metadata, lineage, semantic definitions, and long-running analytical tasks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in high-stakes data engineering, architecture, or data science.
- Production-grade proficiency in Python, dbt, Airflow, advanced SQL, Apache Spark, and Snowflake.
- Fluency with AI-native development environments such as Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code.
- Expertise in prompt engineering, chain-of-thought prompting, self-correction loops, iterative reasoning paths, and agentic frameworks such as LangGraph.
- Experience leveraging MCP servers and agentic workloads across Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless compute environments.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Core, Data 360, Data Mesh, Data-as-a-Product, event-driven architectures, semantic layers, and knowledge graphs.
- Documented use of generative AI to significantly accelerate personal and departmental output.
- Ability to manage end-to-end data strategy for a business unit with minimal supervision.
- Superior analytical judgment and the ability to identify subtle logic errors or hallucinations in agentic output before production.
- Strong Python and SQL expertise and the ability to independently resolve complex data and business problems.
