Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, application development, and model development.
- Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business or user-area needs.
- Monitor and control analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation phases.
- Provide user and operational support for applications and consult with business users, clients, and technology groups.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop security measures during post-implementation analysis to ensure system design and functionality.
- Define operating standards and processes, follow required procedures, and assess technology-related risks and controls.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced Java and Python programming skills, including concurrent, parallel, and distributed systems programming.
- Advanced experience with HTTP, RESTful web services, and API design.
- Experience with Kafka, Reactive Streams, AWS S3, and Google Cloud BigQuery.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects and working knowledge of consulting or project-management methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
- Working knowledge of a scripting language such as Groovy, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Kubernetes and a good understanding of the Linux operating system are desirable.
- Experience with Gradle and Kotlin is beneficial.
