Base Salary
$169k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable C++ firmware controlling spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules throughout entire missions.
- Own software design, development, testing, integration, and flight operational support.
- Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Build structured bare-metal, RTOS, or Linux-based software for embedded processors.
- Ensure software system reliability, availability, quality, and performance through testing, verification, and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least five years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
- Development experience in C++ and strong understanding of C++ language concepts.
- Preferred experience with safety-critical software, particularly aerospace applications.
- Preferred experience with Python or Rust.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
