Responsibilities
- Develop new technology applications with Business and Operations stakeholders for the Investment Banking business.
- Design and develop Java-based microservices and end-to-end solutions in a global, distributed delivery environment.
- Perform technical design, coding, automated unit testing, integration, and production release support.
- Coach delivery teams in modern engineering practices and promote efficient build, test, and release processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define architectural roadmaps and individual solution designs.
- Promote software craftsmanship, reliability, supportability, automated testing, and DevOps/SRE practices.
- Structure program elements into epics and stories and facilitate integration across teams for production releases.
- Support the definition and implementation of software delivery standards and KPIs.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in a senior development or engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with GCP and experience deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
- Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL; NoSQL database experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global team and adapt to changing requirements in an Agile environment.
