Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support full-stack platforms, APIs, and services for connected vehicle experiences.
- Develop Spring Boot and Java APIs and microservices on Google Cloud Platform.
- Own services through architecture, implementation, deployment, operations, integration, testing, and issue triage.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to gather requirements and break solutions into production-ready user stories.
- Perform API load and performance testing and refactor services for simplicity and efficiency.
- Use Jenkins, SonarQube, Fossa, GitHub, and deployment pipelines to improve and manage software.
- Establish engineering best practices and contribute to technical direction and technology adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in cloud-based technically aligned functions.
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions and critical always-on applications.
- Experience with API methods for systems integration and data exchange.
- Knowledge of security considerations and implementation in cloud-based software.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or a comparable platform and cloud-native tools.
- Experience with canary deployments and API technologies including JSON, REST, Swagger, and Postman.
- Master’s degree preferred.
