Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the planning, design, and development of new software solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and design software solutions.
- Support merging code bases across multiple project streams and contribute to coding best practices.
- Solve complex technical problems with scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Define coding standards and contribute to technical innovation.
- Design and develop software using Java, Python, and/or JavaScript UI frameworks.
- Work with microservices, UI/API integration, API protocols, caching technologies, databases, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems.
- Build or maintain large-scale platforms handling real-time complex transactions and troubleshoot distributed systems.
- Mentor and support software development team members.
- Comply with company policies, standards, and other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 8+ years of hands-on object-oriented programming experience with Java, Python, and/or JavaScript UI frameworks.
- Experience with AngularJS or ReactJS.
- Experience with microservice architecture, end-to-end UI/API integration, and REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience drafting coding standards and designing highly scalable, secure, and maintainable software.
- Knowledge of caching technologies and DBMS technologies including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, including database schema design.
- Experience building or maintaining cloud-native applications.
- Experience building large-scale platforms handling real-time complex transactions and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with AWS core services; AWS Lambda, Docker, and Kubernetes experience is a plus.
