Responsibilities
- Deliver quality Java code for the KDB-based data platform.
- Develop and maintain feed handlers.
- Build and maintain automated testing and monitoring solutions.
- Learn and apply q language while developing understanding of KDB architecture and technology.
- Work with Product Owners to clarify business requirements and define next steps.
- Collaborate in cross-border teams using ING’s Agile way of working.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience with Java, including Java 17.
- Knowledge of multithreading and familiarity with automated testing.
- Comfort with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Confluence, Git, and Maven.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, testing, and debugging.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-border collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn q language, KDB architecture and processes, and financial markets.
- A university degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics, Software Engineering, Financial Engineering, or equivalent.
- C++ experience, or willingness and ability to learn it quickly, is desirable.
- CMake, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, OpenShift, Spring Boot, IT security, and financial markets experience are desirable.
- Advanced English proficiency is required.
