Base Salary
$146k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build backend systems and services that manage external partner integrations and power Flex’s products.
- Design, build, and maintain robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and scalable architectures.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Infrastructure, Sales, Partner, and Customer Success teams.
- Work hands-on as an individual contributor while aligning scope and delivery with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Improve team standards through engineering best practices and mentorship.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with Java.
- Experience building robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
- Proficiency with Spring, Gradle, JUnit, and JVM memory and performance tuning.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, Message Queues, and scalable architectures.
- Experience with AWS services including EKS, Aurora RDS, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB, as well as containerization tools.
- Ability to work with ownership on a globally distributed team and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions, Git, automation, Datadog, Snowflake, CDK, and Terraform.
- Preferred experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating cross-functionally.
