Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Python, FastAPI, or Django.
- Build secure, high-performance cloud-native applications and integrations with databases, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries and improve application performance, scalability, reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Implement authentication and authorization using industry-standard security practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in testing, code reviews, design discussions, and engineering best practices.
- Containerize applications with Docker and support automated CI/CD deployments.
- Troubleshoot applications and contribute to end-to-end delivery and architectural improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of Python backend development experience using FastAPI, Django, or similar frameworks.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and working with microservices architecture.
- Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and API security.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and database design.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and object storage.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and CI/CD practices.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience with performance optimization, caching, and application monitoring.
- Preferred: experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kubernetes, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, distributed systems, enterprise SaaS applications, or AI/ML and LLM integrations.
