$142k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing code and production systems.
- Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Learn and support high-scale production software systems.
- Break down and estimate development tasks and communicate progress.
- Improve application functionality and resiliency under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and other Scrum ceremonies.
- Collaborate with technical and product stakeholders.
- Mentor and help grow fellow engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- Deep understanding of Java and object-oriented programming.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality software, solve challenging technical problems, and learn complex systems.
- Strong motivation and ability to mentor other engineers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
- Full-stack or front-end engineering experience is preferred.
- Hands-on AWS experience is preferred.
- Hands-on Cassandra or other NoSQL database experience is preferred.
- Experience with highly scalable real-time software platforms is preferred.
- Interest in or experience with fantasy games is preferred.
