Responsibilities
- Lead complex Professional Services engagements involving AI-enabled and traditional software delivery.
- Design and build feature management into LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, and internal AI platforms.
- Implement safe AI rollout patterns such as progressive exposure, guardrails, kill switches, and prompt or model experimentation.
- Build reference implementations, integrations, and prototypes alongside customer engineering teams using production-quality code.
- Instrument AI systems at inference-time and workflow-level decision points with LaunchDarkly.
- Support customers operating chatbots, copilots, and agent-based systems.
- Advise engineering, platform, DevOps, and AI leaders on architectures, technical decisions, and delivery practices.
- Resolve technical obstacles in complex, distributed, and AI-driven systems.
- Develop subject-matter expertise in LaunchDarkly and emerging AI delivery patterns.
- Synthesize customer feedback and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on future AI capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in enterprise software, platform engineering, or solutions architecture with a hands-on, consultative approach.
- Ability to write production-quality code in Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Go, or a similar modern language and independently ship integrations and prototypes.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Understanding of Model Context Protocol or similar tool-augmented and agent-based approaches, or strong interest in learning them.
- Ability to guide customers in DevOps, CI/CD, experimentation, progressive delivery, and modern release practices.
- Experience delivering across the full software development lifecycle in enterprise environments and leading development or platform transformations.
- Strong understanding of feature management and experimentation platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Linux, and containers.
- Strong customer focus, ownership, communication, stakeholder relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
