Responsibilities
- Solve complex and large-scale technical problems.
- Develop scalable, testable, supportable, and maintainable code.
- Take ownership of delivered code and production-quality work.
- Participate actively in thorough code reviews and complex problem-solving efforts.
- Guide the mentoring program for new and less experienced team members.
- Understand the impact of technical work on the team, product, and broader Tackle organization.
- Collaborate effectively with distributed development teams in a hybrid and asynchronous work environment.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience designing modern, scalable, and performant backend services.
- Professional experience deploying applications and managed services on AWS, including API Gateway, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar frameworks.
- Advanced NoSQL database modeling with DynamoDB, including single-table design, and strong knowledge of relational databases such as Postgres.
- Strong professional experience designing RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices, ideally with Amazon EventBridge.
- Professional Go experience is a plus.
- Strong technical judgment, communication skills, autonomy, organization, and a solution-oriented attitude.
- Good English proficiency for collaboration with teams in the United States, India, Argentina, Ontario, and Alberta.
