Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, development, and evolution of a product using Java, Spring Boot, and scalable microservices architecture.
- Define and implement cloud-based solution practices using Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure.
- Mentor and guide team members while promoting skills development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
- Drive adoption of automated testing frameworks and strategies to improve product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead technical discussions and decisions and provide clear technical direction.
- Contribute hands-on to software development, design decisions, and code reviews.
- Establish engineering practices covering continuous integration and delivery, test automation, and code reviews.
- Contribute to AI-assisted development techniques, coding agents, and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- Demonstrated software development experience with Java and Spring Boot, particularly in technical leadership or mentoring contexts.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and microservices development.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud development, deployment pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of testing frameworks and automated testing strategies.
- Ability to influence, mentor, and empower team members while fostering collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to own a product end to end and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with strategic goals.
- Experience in product development or R&D on an active software product.
- Strong backend development expertise.
- Knowledge of integration with front-end frameworks such as Angular.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- English and French communication skills are desirable.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, coding agents, custom agent skills and instructions, and agentic workflows is desirable.
