Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Java application code following the team’s development practices.
- Work on customizations, architectural improvements, and infrastructure enhancements for sanctions and adverse-media screening applications.
- Develop systems that process millions of customer and real-time transactions daily with sub-second response times.
- Design and implement solutions using Core Java, Spring Boot, databases, REST services, messaging technologies, SOAP, XML, and microservices.
- Create architecture design review documents and modernize the ecosystem through iterative improvements.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with global teams while adapting to complex business requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a master’s degree in Software Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience developing Java-based systems, including Core Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with database design, SQL, procedures, and query tuning.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, SOAP, XML, JSON, Linux, and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of object-oriented and functional development concepts, service design, software architecture, and SOA.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and professional skills.
- Oracle Certified Java Associate certification is listed.
- Financial-domain knowledge and understanding of AML and customer-risk-ranking quantitative methodologies are advantageous.
- Angular UI experience is a plus.
