Responsibilities
- Build scalable, testable, supportable, and maintainable backend services and multi-tier applications.
- Solve high-scope technical problems and own code through production delivery.
- Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Mentor new and less experienced team members and help direct the apprenticeship program.
- Collaborate across distributed development teams and contribute to technical direction and trade-off decisions.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience building modern, scalable, high-performing backend services.
- Professional experience deploying applications and managed services within AWS, including API Gateway, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Deep infrastructure-as-code expertise with AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar frameworks.
- Advanced NoSQL data modeling experience with DynamoDB, including Single Table Design, and strong knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Strong experience building RESTful APIs and understanding event-driven microservice design, ideally with Amazon EventBridge.
- Experience with Go is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
