Responsibilities
- Define front-end architecture, technical strategy, standards, and best practices for scalable platforms and complex UI systems.
- Lead back-end development and API architecture, including integrations with complex systems and third-party platforms.
- Design database schemas and optimize performance across relational and NoSQL databases, caching, and queries.
- Drive performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring, observability, authentication, authorization, and security practices for production systems.
- Design and integrate AI services into production full-stack systems, including LLM APIs, streaming, tool and function calling, multi-step agent flows, and RAG patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align technical decisions with product and business goals.
- Lead code reviews and design discussions, establish engineering standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Make architectural decisions and communicate complex technical tradeoffs clearly across audiences.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leadership of complex full-stack initiatives.
- Deep proficiency in React or Angular, with strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills and experience with Next.js.
- Strong experience with state management, modern CSS frameworks, and build tooling.
- Strong back-end development and API architecture experience with Node.js or Python.
- Strong testing practices across unit, integration, and UI testing.
- Deep expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, caching, and query optimization.
- Strong experience with microservices, event-driven systems, message queues, cloud platforms, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong experience integrating AI services into production full-stack systems, including LLM APIs, streaming, tool and function calling, multi-step agent flows, and RAG patterns.
- Experience working with design tools and partners to deliver polished, accessible UI, including Figma.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience across a team or organization.
- Strong stakeholder communication, problem-solving, judgment, and ability to navigate ambiguous technical and business challenges.
- Demonstrable day-to-day usage and expert knowledge of AI-forward tools such as Claude and Cursor.
