Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex experimentation and growth tooling capabilities.
- Own architecture and system design for significant areas of the Growth Tools platform.
- Drive ambiguous technical initiatives from problem definition through production.
- Improve architecture, reliability, performance, maintainability, and engineering velocity.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering to develop scalable solutions.
- Shape the team’s technical roadmap and evaluate opportunities involving AI and emerging technologies.
- Lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience designing and operating large-scale production systems.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience with demonstrated technical impact.
- Experience designing distributed services, APIs, data systems, and cloud architectures.
- Ability to solve complex problems across application, service, data, and infrastructure boundaries.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, make architectural trade-offs, and complete complex initiatives.
- Track record of technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and improving engineering practices and standards.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- Experience with experimentation platforms, feature flags, progressive rollouts, analytics or telemetry, real-time configuration, high-scale distributed systems, or developer platforms is preferred.
