- Develop, customize, maintain, and debug Linux Kernel and BSP software for automotive infotainment platforms.
- Develop and integrate platform-specific software components and Linux device drivers for display, audio, USB, storage, connectivity, sensors, and vehicle interfaces.
- Support kernel upgrades, feature enablement, platform migrations, board bring-up, and hardware-software integration.
- Analyze and resolve kernel crashes, panics, memory leaks, driver defects, boot-time failures, runtime failures, and stability issues.
- Perform system performance analysis and optimization involving CPU utilization, memory consumption, boot time, responsiveness, reliability, and stability.
- Collaborate with BSP architects, kernel developers, driver engineers, validation teams, hardware teams, and SoC vendors.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, platform design reviews, and continuous improvement of architecture design processes.
- Lead teams and customer engagements, mentor colleagues, and travel as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, embedded systems, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Linux Kernel, BSP, and embedded software development.
- Strong expertise in Linux Kernel internals, device driver development, BSP customization, board bring-up, hardware-software integration, and Embedded Linux architecture.
- Proficiency in Embedded C, with knowledge of C++, Device Tree, bootloader concepts, and ARM-based architectures.
- Understanding of Linux Kernel subsystems including memory management, interrupt handling, IPC, filesystems, and power management.
- Experience with GDB, ftrace, perf, strace, crash, Git-based development workflows, CI/CD environments, SPI, I2C, UART, and I2S.
- Preferred experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive, MediaTek, Samsung, NXP, TI, and other automotive SoCs.
- Preferred experience with automotive infotainment, cockpit, digital cockpit, automotive communication protocols, performance profiling, tracing, system optimization, hypervisors, and multi-OS environments.
- Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity, functional safety, and ASPICE-compliant development environments.
- Ability to lead teams and customer engagements, mentor others, communicate effectively, and travel as required.
