Base Salary
$132k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop application software in C++ and Golang for Kubernetes microservices.
- Design and optimize on-change streaming APIs for memory, speed, and latency efficiency.
- Create robust applications that operate under adverse conditions using eventual consistency.
- Contribute to Nokia’s data center networking controller and distributed cloud or Kubernetes systems.
- Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices, documentation, code reviews, and technical communication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues while collaborating with engineering teams.
Requirements
- A BSCS or similar degree is required; related work experience is advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of operating-system fundamentals, including kernel operations, scheduling, and memory management.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance analysis.
- Experience developing software on Linux platforms.
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills are preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, and containerization is a plus.
- Knowledge of distributed-system software design in cloud or Kubernetes environments.
- Experience with databases and database management.
- Proficiency in parsing and auto-complete techniques such as recursive descent.
- Ability to interact with management interfaces including gNMI, NETCONF, and REST.
