Base Salary

$165k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver Data Plane features and services for authentication, authorization, session brokering, resource discovery, gateway selection, streaming, and failover.
  • Contribute to architecture strategy and unify session brokering and streaming across authentication methods, identity providers, streaming protocols, regions, and AWS partitions.
  • Build governance and access policies that treat AI agents as first-class principals alongside human users.
  • Operate low-latency, highly available services supporting more than one million global WorkSpaces users with stringent SLAs.
  • Implement self-healing routing, transparent cross-region failover, observability, automated testing, instrumentation, and pipeline-based deployment.
  • Partner with compute, identity, networking, and gateway teams to drive technical discussions and architectural decisions.
  • Experiment with AI-powered capabilities such as intelligent gateway selection, self-diagnosing connections, and AI-assisted operational management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience and experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
