Responsibilities
- Engage customer business and technology leaders to understand data estates, AI priorities, governance needs, success measures, and business outcomes.
- Translate customer requirements into secure, scalable, and AI-ready cloud and data solutions.
- Lead architecture design and create data and AI platform roadmaps across analytics, data engineering, databases, governance, and AI-enabled scenarios.
- Guide customers in architectural decisions involving Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure databases, and related Azure services.
- Drive technical engagements from architecture and proof of concept through pilot, production deployment, and scaled adoption.
- Lead data platform modernization and migration across relational, non-relational, analytical, and data-engineering workloads.
- Help customers establish data ownership, security, quality, discoverability, metadata management, compliance, and lifecycle governance.
- Improve resiliency, security, sovereignty, performance, capacity management, operational readiness, and cost optimization for mission-critical data workloads.
- Partner with customer success, account, specialist, engineering, and delivery teams to remove blockers, align delivery outcomes, contribute reusable intellectual property, and share field feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, liberal arts, or a related field, and at least four years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting, or equivalent experience.
- At least four years of customer-facing experience and at least four years of experience working on technical projects.
- Experience leading production data platform engagements in at least two areas including Microsoft Fabric and analytics, Azure Databricks and data engineering, Azure SQL and open-source databases, data governance, or production data foundations for AI solutions.
- Experience with enterprise architecture topics including security, governance, data quality, metadata management, resiliency, performance optimization, capacity planning, operational readiness, and cost management.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree with at least eight years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least six years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant cloud, data, analytics, database, AI, or security certifications are preferred.
