Responsibilities
- Participate in software design, development, refactoring, support, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with platform teams and work autonomously with limited supervision.
- Optimize the platform for maximum throughput and scalability.
- Build and improve high-scale, distributed, multi-tenant, event-driven systems.
- Document solutions, share knowledge, and continuously improve systems and processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing server-side applications in Scala.
- Strong working knowledge of Scala and SBT.
- Solid experience with Pekko/Akka, including HTTP, Actors, Cluster, Persistence, Streams, and connectors.
- Strong understanding of the JVM, data structures, algorithms, and parallel and concurrent programming.
- Practical experience building high-scale distributed systems with complex interfaces and integrations.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, ownership, communication, and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Fluent communication in English is required.
- Experience with iGaming, Typesafe Config, Couchbase or another document-based NoSQL database, AWS S3 and DynamoDB, Play JSON, ScalaTest, Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes, or Linux is advantageous.
