Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain service delivery strategy, operating models, and service delivery frameworks for the application portfolio.
- Create architecture roadmaps, data models, data standards, interface requirements, and interoperability strategies.
- Assess application portfolios, technology fit, security elements, risks, vulnerabilities, and architectural gaps, and recommend safeguards.
- Lead DevSecOps adoption using GitLab and Azure DevOps, including repository structures, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow integration.
- Design solutions for secure, distributed, low-bandwidth, and deployed environments, including shipboard operations.
- Provide cyber security vision for Command-and-Control systems and align practices with allied and partner organizations.
- Drive automation, analytics, reporting, change management, governance, and continuous service improvement.
- Apply ITIL Service Value Chain principles and lead stakeholder analysis and cross-functional coordination.
- Prepare technical briefings, progress updates, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Architect.
- College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience developing technology architectures and roadmaps, risk assessments and security frameworks, and technology adoption and sustainability strategies.
- Experience analyzing application architecture security elements and assessing risks and vulnerabilities with recommended safeguards.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and/or Azure DevOps and integration of development, acquisition, and operations workflows.
- Experience applying ITIL Service Value Chain principles and defining and tracking portfolio performance metrics and analytics.
- Experience in defence, government, or high-security environments and familiarity with Command-and-Control systems.
- Experience supporting distributed or bandwidth-constrained systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership experience.
- Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance.
