Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a fast, reliable backend.
- Solve backend scaling challenges and own platform architecture.
- Make strong architectural decisions and contribute to product discussions.
- Develop customer-facing products and collaborate across platform boundaries.
- Use AI tools and modern AI practices to improve development speed, quality, and decision-making.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend engineering experience in production environments.
- At least 3 years of recent experience with Kotlin or another JVM language.
- Strong software architecture skills.
- Expertise with relational database management systems, including PostgreSQL schema design and safe migrations.
- A proven track record in customer-facing product development.
- Experience with AI tools and modern AI practices.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Preferred: experience as a tech lead or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: AWS and Kubernetes experience, observability practices involving metrics and logging, Spark and Scala analytics workloads, and full-stack experience, especially with React.
