Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and delivery of secure external and internal connectivity, including client onboarding, VPN setup, IP whitelisting, firewall rules, and connectivity validation.
- Design, configure, and maintain Azure networking components and internal connectivity services.
- Manage certificates, secure communication protocols, firewalls, and periodic connectivity cleanups.
- Define observability requirements, tune alerts, build dashboards, and lead operational reviews.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for connectivity incidents, root-cause analysis, and change management.
- Lead client, vendor, and internal design workshops and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and runbooks.
- Mentor engineers and drive automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code adoption using Azure DevOps and ArgoCD.
- Provide technical leadership in Agile delivery and weekend/on-call support as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- 7–10+ years of operational experience supporting mission-critical production systems, ideally in SaaS or cloud environments.
- Deep expertise in Azure networking, including NSGs, ASGs, VNet Peering, Private Link, and VPN gateways.
- Practical experience with MQ, FIX, SFTP, PGP, WebAPI, certificates, Stunnel/OMFIX, and secure communication protocols.
- Extensive automation experience with Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, PowerShell, Bash, and Git.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana, incident/problem management, SLAs, and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to lead client-facing workshops, translate requirements into technical solutions, mentor engineers, and operate as a senior individual contributor.
- Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension or similar investment management platforms is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills aligned with SimCorp’s stated values.
Benefits
- Toronto base salary is CAD 113,840.00–156,300.00, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including health and dental care, time off, and Group RRSP/TFSA.
- Global hybrid policy requires working from the office two days per week, with remote work on other days.
- Benefits packages vary by country and location-specific compensation is shared during the hiring process.
- Weekend/on-call support may be required.
