Responsibilities
- Develop and test complex software solutions independently.
- Release and validate software.
- Support software operations, incident resolution, and blameless reviews.
- Develop reusable code modules and patterns for the team.
- Use AI code-generation tools in the daily development workflow.
- Participate in code and design reviews.
- Document and demonstrate software for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist junior peers with assignments and understanding technical work.
- Participate in an on-call rotation when applicable, including potential night and weekend coverage.
Requirements
- Expertise solving problems through software development using established patterns and practices.
- Experience with team technologies such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Angular, or AWS.
- Experience using AI code-generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
- Exposure to developing reusable software modules or patterns.
- Experience with integration testing, software releases, and ongoing support.
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices and artifacts.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
- Three years of professional software engineering or similar experience is preferred.
- Experience with cloud environments or cloud provider certification is preferred.
- Experience supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery is preferred.
- Agile certification is preferred.
- Experience mentoring and developing others is preferred.
- Experience providing thought leadership to influence software development practices is preferred.
