Responsibilities
- Articulate and evangelize a technical vision for the domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions.
- Provide expertise on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics.
- Provide architectural guidance and designs for large-scale cross-domain programs.
- Work with engineering teams on proofs of concept, hands-on code contributions, and code reviews.
- Develop and maintain domain architecture aligned with divisional and enterprise guidelines.
- Promote engineering excellence, reuse, and innersourcing.
- Guide technology and talent adoption of modern technologies.
- Lead design and architecture discussions and guide key technology choices through the development lifecycle.
- Mentor internal talent and help recruit external technology talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns.
- At least 3 years of experience with public or private cloud technologies.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
- 10+ years working with business leaders on the implications of architectural decisions preferred.
- 10+ years of professional experience across the full system development lifecycle preferred.
- 4+ years building cloud-native architectures and architecting enterprise applications on public cloud platforms and ecosystems such as AWS, GCP, or Azure preferred.
