Responsibilities
- Solve large and complex backend problems from technical design through launch.
- Deliver solutions used by other teams and products.
- Define plans of attack for large projects.
- Address complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards to new projects.
- Lead code reviews and documentation and resolve complex, high-risk bugs.
- Set standards for thorough and meaningful code reviews.
- Partner across engineering teams on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects.
- Mentor junior team members and share technical expertise.
- Consider customer impact when making technical decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, a related technical field, or similar experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
- Expert-level experience with one or more prominent languages such as Java, C#, or C/C++.
- Expertise in at least one technical topic or domain.
- Ability and interest in collaborating with and mentoring junior team members.
- Commitment to helping others learn and grow.
