Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver scalable mobile solutions and prototypes.
- Take full ownership of complex features and systems.
- Lead identification and resolution of improvement areas in existing code.
- Build and maintain the end-to-end mobile experience for iOS and Android.
- Define mobile architecture patterns and engineering standards.
- Establish rigorous mobile testing practices and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate with Geotab's telematics backend APIs.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with developers on technical design and implementation.
- Lead technical discussions and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5-8 years of relevant industry experience in mobile development.
- Proficiency in AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
- Deep expertise in native mobile development (Swift/SwiftUI for iOS or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose for Android).
- Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and App Store/Google Play release processes.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop other engineers.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts.
