Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on testing for credit card functionality, including test planning, test design, test case creation, and execution.
- Conduct mainframe and API testing and provide quality engineering leadership throughout design and development.
- Design, document, and continuously improve end-to-end test solutions and tooling strategies.
- Use test data management capabilities to support automated test data provisioning.
- Partner with developers to define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Ready/Done.
- Apply BDD/TDD principles and lead proof-of-concept evaluations of technologies for faster and more secure testing.
- Analyze testing effectiveness using data-driven methods and recommend efficiency and cost improvements.
- Support remediation of performance, risk, and governance issues and escalate risks when needed.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and alignment with business, enterprise, regulatory, and control requirements.
- Share quality engineering best practices, support knowledge transfer, and keep stakeholders informed of project status.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional experience.
- Mandatory experience in mainframe testing.
- Prior quality engineering experience with mainframe and API testing.
- Strong business and technical understanding for developing efficient test approaches and tooling strategies.
- Experience with test data management, automated test data provisioning, and engineering tools and practices.
- Understanding of BDD/TDD principles and enterprise quality engineering frameworks and methodologies.
- Ability to assess risks, governance concerns, regulatory changes, and business impacts.
- Effective collaboration and communication with stakeholders across business, corporate, control, and development functions.
