Base Salary
$203k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable, secure, maintainable services integrated with Salesforce and real-time and batch data pipelines.
- Contribute approximately 70–80% of the time to software development across the full lifecycle, while spending the remainder on design, technical alignment, and engineering quality.
- Own ambiguous technical problems end to end and resolve cross-team dependencies with Senior Staff and Principal engineers.
- Develop technical standards, patterns, reference architectures, and measures for AI reliability, safety, and impact.
- Ship production AI capabilities with evaluation, observability, and guardrail mechanisms.
- Write design documents, communicate technical trade-offs, mentor engineers, and lead rigorous code and design reviews.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI within the domain and stay current with AI and data technologies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience building web, software, or data-intensive applications.
- Experience leading significant technical workstreams and designing and shipping services in large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented language, including Java/J2EE or C#.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping AI/ML capabilities in production, ideally including LLM features, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt and context engineering, or evaluation frameworks.
- Ability to influence technical decisions and communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms and seller-facing experiences.
- Preferred: experience with agent frameworks, model orchestration, vector search, or AI evaluation and observability tooling.
- Preferred: knowledge of SQL in large-scale data warehouse or lakehouse environments such as Spark, Databricks, Presto, Athena, or Trino.
- Preferred: hands-on data science or machine learning experience.
- Preferred: deep experience with Big Data and cloud technologies and real-time and batch processing concepts.
