Responsibilities
- Own the full product lifecycle from design through deployment.
- Translate customer and product objectives into iterative technical requirements.
- Design solutions for energy procurement and optimization problems.
- Build performant backend services and intuitive frontend interfaces for a data-intensive application.
- Train time-series forecasting models for power consumption and renewables production.
- Develop linear optimization algorithms to reduce customer energy costs.
- Help choose and evolve the core technology stack while collaborating directly with customers and founders.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience delivering scalable web applications.
- Ability to deliver full product features independently and end-to-end in collaboration with customers.
- Strong backend and frontend fundamentals for data-intensive applications.
- Comfort working as a generalist across frontend and backend domains.
- A product mindset focused on translating customer needs into practical technical solutions.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, React, TypeScript, and Python.
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in time-series forecasting and/or linear optimization.
- Prior early-stage startup experience is preferred; CTO, founder, or similarly broad technical leadership experience is a plus.
- Curiosity about energy markets and complex, data-driven business applications.
- Ability and willingness to work on-site in Munich approximately four days per week.
Benefits
- Salary range of 85,000 to 140,000 EUR annually.
- Hybrid work in Munich with approximately four days per week on-site and occasional remote flexibility.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
