Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of critical parts of the core product.
- Build reliable full-stack features that improve freight-forwarding operations.
- Evaluate, benchmark, fine-tune, and integrate AI capabilities and LLMs in production.
- Experiment with new model releases, frameworks, and agentic techniques, iterating based on data and user feedback.
- Improve complex legacy codebases by adding structure and scalability.
- Engineer infrastructure and automation for heavy data and AI workloads.
- Collaborate closely with founders and teammates as a hands-on, high-ownership contributor.
Requirements
- Around 2 to 3 years of professional engineering experience, with strong projects or a compelling track record accepted as a substitute.
- Strong full-stack engineering ability across backend and cloud environments.
- Fluency in Python; familiarity with Go is a strong plus.
- Hands-on AI/ML experience with benchmarking, fine-tuning, LLM integration, and production experimentation.
- Experience building robust, real-world production systems at scale.
- Comfort working with complex legacy codebases and automating systems for scale.
- Logistics or freight-forwarding knowledge is a strong asset.
- Prior startup or entrepreneurial experience and enthusiasm for working on-site in Munich.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, intellectual humility, autonomy, and self-discipline.
Benefits
- Salary of 60,000 to 90,000 EUR per year.
- Equity options available, up to approximately 1.5%.
