Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical leader for ML/AI product initiatives and guide architectural decisions, standards, and reusable frameworks.
- Architect scalable ML platforms and production data pipelines while integrating new data sources.
- Build and own end-to-end ML/AI product solutions through deployment, refinement, and iterative enhancement.
- Train, fine-tune, and deploy statistical, machine learning, and large language models.
- Develop LLM-powered product integrations including agents, autonomous processes, retrieval-augmented generation, context enrichment, and prompt engineering.
- Create evaluation platforms, monitoring, telemetry, and feedback loops to measure model performance, detect failure modes, and identify user-journey signals.
- Mentor engineers across teams, delegate deliverables, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to hiring and training strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in machine learning and data science, including building and maintaining production models.
- Strong expertise in natural language processing, statistical modeling and analysis, modern machine learning methods, and novel model architectures.
- Experience handling data at scale, human-in-the-loop labeling, training usable datasets, and exploratory data analysis.
- Experience creating evaluations and evaluation platforms for non-deterministic systems, including LLM-as-Judge, inferred signals, and traditional model evaluation.
- Experience with production monitoring and feedback loops using active feedback, passive signals, and user behavior.
- SaaS development and deployment experience with ML solutions, CI/CD code lifecycle practices, and AWS environments and services including Kafka, EKS, SageMaker, and Athena.
- Experience building LLM-powered product integrations involving agents, autonomous processes, RAG, context enrichment, guided generation, and modern prompt engineering.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentorship, and ability to manage complex deliverables across teams.
